The plan changes yet again ...

I'm hoping to get a bolt in cage before the end of next season. Just not going to happen during the build. After looking thru classifieds and different sites for fuel parts it looks like I'll be limited by what I can get my system to make. Unless I come across a smoking deal before I order...

Well the kit I'm getting is the same thing for your car too so you'll be able to see just what's needed. The main difference is our fuel systems. You have a returnless system and I have a return style system. I'm finding out that I'll need a 99-04 tank with a return style hat and twin 255lph...

    help with codes I'm throwing

Did the coils you tried have boots. If it's a bad boot a working coil won't matter. The tick noise could definitely be the noise from the spark jumping thru a boot. Boots are cheap Todd, under $8 each. Do what Kieth said about pulling the coil & boot off each cylinder with the car running...

The plan changes yet again ...

I'll start ordering stuff sometime in January. I post up pics as it comes in. My build won't start until all pieces of it are received and ready to go. So probably not until the spring.

Thanks for the info guys. I forgot all about lines and rails when I posted this last night. I believe I read that stock lines and rails were good if you were staying under 600whp. Over that is pushing it. I was thinking 60# injectors and a 340lph pump so I wouldn't be high in the duty cycle...

The plan changes yet again ...

Well guys my idea for a 5.3L NA build (http://www.newyorkmustangs.com/forums/380-rwhp-2v-n-possible-t27048.html ) is out the window. I just can't put the build I want together for the budget I have. So on to bigger and better things. :D The new build is an FI build. MMR 750SE shortblock...

    replace convertible top

Chief ... $650 is cheap. I paid almost that much for just the top, rear glass, & side pads. I was quoted $1200 for parts and install in my area. DYI top install is a big PITA but it's doable. I'll look for the link to the instructions that I used later.

    help with codes I'm throwing

Todd, if your COP's are anything like my '99 F150's then you do have wires, kind of. They're the little 5" boot that goes between the coil and plug. I bought 2 COP's at $65 each before I realized you can buy just the boots for $7 each. :smash: Hope you get it straightened out.

    96 5.0?

I've never heard of a 5.0 in a '96. Not from Ford anyways. It's either a '94-'95 GT or had a motor swap.

    Fuel system questions

Ok guys I need some help for my winter build. I have about 90% of my build figured out. What I need help with is the fuel system. I going to run a 5.3L block with a Logan intake and stage 3 N/A cams from MHS. I plan on turning 7k RPM and I'm hoping to see between 360 & 380 HP to the tires...

    03/04 cobra TB $$

No thanks. They wanted $700 just for a rear gear install, and I had all the parts. I was just looking for a ballpark figure ... Under $500 ... more than $500. :idk: Just trying to see if I can fit the intake into my budget.

    03/04 cobra TB $$

What's up guys. I'm trying to price a build for this winter. I need to know what a stock throttle body, throttle cable and cruise control cable goes for ? I'm thinking about running a Logan intake and have read that the stock 03/04 cobra TB, TC & CC are what's needed for the front facing inlet.

Pondering the idea of selling the 65.

In that case keep the wife, sell the kid. They're easy to make. Fun to make too. :D If money is not an issue, keep the '65. I still regret selling my '69 coupe and that was 18 yrs ago. :smash:
