Hey everybody. Well with this covid 19 business going on it decimated the car show circuit this year. Well time to do a little upgrade work to my car. Added gt rotors to my v6 stang up front. Now the beast really stops great.... Also adding tw o gauge pods in center ac ducts. One is a clock because you can hardly see the one in the radio and the other one is a volt meter. I have have been having a problem with my ch
Hey everybody took a year off showing this year. To drive around with my wife and just loving cruising with the top down. I did however go to the grand national in NH. We drove up Friday afternoon registered and guess what started cleaning the car. We stayed at a local hotel so we had a place to crash after sitting at the show. We met a lot of really nice people and cars. Sunday was the award ceremony. I was not expecting to recievec any award. We went to see the cars and meet other mustang owners. My wife however was very optimistic I actually sat way in the back and she was right up front. There are a lot of classes at these shows. So by the time my class was called (modified with out under carriage) I was thinking about the ride home. Well to my surprise I see my wife jumping up and down and waving to me. Then I hear 2006 mustang convertible wind veil blue owned by Stephen Cafaro silver award. I was so shocked it took me a coup!e of seconds to move. What a way to end my show season........
Hey everybody just made my hotel reservation for the national show in NH. I am staying at a laquinta about 8 miles from show site.I do have a question about registration. I see there are 2 days to register Friday and Saturday. Do you have to go both days or only 1 day. I plan to register online in the occasionally driven class. If anybody is going I would like to meet you guys. I have a 2006 winveil blue convertible with barwxs as my liscense plate thanks for your help and Carmel by
HI Everybody I have to questions I would like feedback on 1 how many mods do you think you can do to your car before it's considered a modified car and what type of mods. 2 Do you think that california/Cts stands should be considered a stock car as you buy it complete from Ford? Please .etc me know your thoughts Aidenshep
After my recent post on exhaust systems received such nice comments and likes which I thank you for. I see a growing number of questions referring to front and rear suspensions ie rear wheel hop and tire options. I will soon post on thisthis as soon as I get my thoughts together:-)
Hi every body. After helping one member directly I would like post here where everybody could use. It relates to exhaust systems and mods. Your exhaust basically does one thing. That is control back pressure. To much or to little back pressure can cause performance to drop. While the engines in our cars are basically air pumps. If you open up your exhaust and do not make intake upgrades ie larger intake manifold , hi flow heads, larger displacement engines. The exhaust upgrades would be of no real benefit. After cat exhaust upgrades are cancelled out by the stock cats. They determine the flow of exhaust through the system. Then factor the oxygen sensors which will try very hard to keep things in line with fords performance specs. Headers there would not raise performance without being in balance with your exhaust system and engine performance. Believe it or not the stock exhaust system does a very good job. I know a lot of you will disagree. But if everything is not upgraded evenly they can work against what you are try to achieveachieve. Exhaust systems get very technical. Then there are shorty cats and long tube cats. That would have to be addressed at another time. My background is as a certified NYSE master mechanic aand working in the field for a long time. I hope this helps everybody with basics exhaust issues.... Aidenshep Carmel ny
Hey everybody after a nice mild winter I cannot wait for tthespring shows to start. Had aa lower valance iinstalled on rear bumper. Would not advise to do this. After a bunch of money spent still does not look rright. I am going to give the shop one more try. If this does not work Iwill have to shell out another 500.00. Will be forced into buying a new rear bumper cover....hope to see everybody at the upcoming show season. SM CAFARO 2006 mutant v6 convertible....
Did not go to the 50th event in goshen today. Woke up at 8am and it was pouring rain. I don't know why the did not postpone to the rain date. I realise it takes a lot of work to have a show. So why not wait for better weather. From the photo's the turn out was low. There where a lot of empty spaces. Codo's to those who did attend ..... Aidenshep
