Just some info on the subject of engine oil and filters:
25% of the cost of Roush products is because it says "Roush" on it. I doubt Roush makes oil filters, but I was wrong once before I think

. Valvoline is a supplier of Roush oil, or Roush buys from them, which ever way you want to look at it. Roush also claims to use two other sources for their oil supply but I don't know those. Roush's specs, I read, are same as Ford Motorcraft oil specs. Mobil 1 and Castrol synthetic oil is better, for several reasons, than Ford Motorcraft oil, which means they're better than Roush oil. I did quite a bit of research because I'm interested in the best engine protection not who sells it. I don't think you can go wrong with Roush oil and filters, especially for a daily driver, but it will just cost you more.
Find out what manufacturer makes filters for Roush and buy their top filter. Probably is Valvoline also. From reading on "Bob is the oil guy" forum (which I recommend if you want to learn about lubricants) Mobil 1 makes a high quality oil filter although they are @ $15.00 or so for the extended life. Roush filters are closer to $ 20.00. You can buy Mobil 1 online at Advanced Auto with our club discount and save a few bucks. I think I pay around $12.00 with a discount from AA. I don't think a better filter could be made (Mobil 1) without starting to restrict flow because of media micron size being too small. If you didn't want all that info I apologize, but knowledge can save money, and your engine. I personally have over 100K miles on my supercharged 2V, and knock on wood, it still runs very well. I go 5k miles between oil changes also, except after SCCA events which I do an oil change for that day.
