thanks for the reply roush 4...i definitely understand the mechanical differences in brake set-ups...the real question was..
whats the difference between an r1, brakemotive, stoptech, ssbc, powerslot etc...rotor.
i heard all these companies use "relatively" the same rotor from the same few basic suppliers.
(this discussion obviously does not apply to the $350/piece 2-part hi end rotors like baer etc)

I seriously wish I would have seen these videos you posted. but its too late, I already purchased the drilled and slotted rotors. We'll soon find out if it was worth it or not.

do not question your purchase...your fine....roush4 is correct in saying that drilled rotors do have more of a tendency to crack BUT your are probably running stock power and drive somewhat normal.
re-review the video: the caution was for DEMANDING driving with demanding horsepower, or racing; road course; towing; heavy vehicles etc... with a stock ride i wouldnt worry.

yeah, thats definitely true, its completely stock, and I do drive somewhat normal, no autocross or drag, i just get gas happy everyday haha

Ok, I received the rotors, pads, and hardware for my car today. So far the experience is good. I ordered them last thursday night.

So what brakes did you go with.......r1......brake motive.....ssbc.........how do you like the brakes you bought and how much did they cost...any issues ?

Hey man, I finally got the R1 brakes installed, cross-drilled and slotted with the ceramic pads, all R1 brand and the brakes seem to be pretty damn good. definitely better than stock, but I just got the car back today. they're good quality(thick, meaty rotors). I'd recommend them for the price.
