Smoke coming from exhaust possible oil leak?

Hey, guys. I recently got my hands on a fox v8 conversion. On idle, heavy acceleration, and 1st gear it produces a white exhaust smoke with a slight bluish tint. Car is carbureted and has a full exhaust. Any ideas if it is leaking oil and any problem area I.e heads or piston rings. Car runs very strong no tapping and idle is smooth that's what's driving me nuts. Thanks guys.

There is a slight smell of oil. The tailpipes are a little black on the iknside and around the rim. I'm trying to figure out where the oil is leaking from to see if I want to save the motor.

Sounds like it could be running a little rich. Maybe the rings are starting to go away as well or the valve stem seals are leaking.
The best way to tell is to do a leakdown test, not a compression test but borrow a tool that you can measure cylinder pressure leakdown. 5% is good, 10% is acceptable, anything over that you should start looking to get a freshen.

I just noticed you are local to me. I have the tool to do a leak down test which I can lend to you if you'd like, but you also need a source of compressed air to do the test. Let me know

If your backfiring during partial throttle or at idle you could have insufficient ignition timing. The previous owner of my fox had the car retarded 13 degrees and had all the same symptoms you are describing. A nice spot would be advanced 14-15 degrees initial.
