cant find fusebox 89 lx to rewire 6AL

Hey where is the fusebox located on a 89 lx 4cyl hatch. Need to rewire my 6al ignition switch and looking for the fusebox ignition switch or fusebox. Any help guys. Almoooost got her running

should be under the left side of the dash above the pedals. Atleast thats how my 5.0 is and I wouldnt think theyd change the fuse box location.

Its a 5.0 conversion and I looked but its like missing.

did u take the dash panel down and look behind that,could be tucked up high,if its not there trace wires,did u do conversion?,its gotta be under there somewhere,

Im going to tear it down today for now I gotta move it to my house then tar it down.and sort tge shit out. Grr

Its a 5.0 conversion and I looked but its like missing.

You may not wanna tackle this one on your own....just sayin.

yea be carful,,it could also be slid over to above the gas pedal, mine has alot of slack in thewires goin to it and had to tie it up,maby get a pick of under the dash

Its me and my boy. We've rebuilt my boys fox Like 3 times already And we havevrhe same setup

hmmm,does all the functions still work,lights ect.ect...,maby hidden behind heater controls and radio,ive seen that befor,,,but im sure uve looked if uve done this swap before.....id start following wires,its gotta be there somewhere,unless a hack owned it before you,i wouldnt think someone would hardwire everything unless maby there was a problem,,,was there electrical tape on your harness anywhere when u first bought this car?

The guy rigged everything... he wired up the 6AL to the alternator..... the harness looked untouched and the computer inside the passenger kickpanel looked untouched. And everything works besides the tach, water, and oil pressure.

I mean this in the NICEST way possible but if you can't find the fuse box then wiring in a 6AL might be a bigger project then you are anticipating.

Anyway, here is what it looks like..

Mine is on the bottom of the dash on the drivers side....there is a little square bracket that holds it to the dash framing, but the metal is very thin and like gingerbreadman said it could have broke and someone may have stuffed it up there somewhere. Did you take the lower dash piece above where your knees go and look?

wow,well ur dash guege wires come out throu firewall,oil pressure at the sender,,tach is your coil wires and the temp guage is on front of engine,,but doesnt matter cause the eec gets it from left side of motor abouve the water pump,,they guy probly used the power wire comin off the altenator for the 6al,,try goin to computer and find the green clip that sends power to the computer from the body harness,,should be behind the glovebox,,u should be able to follow that back to the fuse box,,,but if he rigged it,it might go back to ignition swith,,do u know what the guy ran engine wise befor you,
