I took the lower intake and intercooler to a local engine rebuilder and had him run them through his parts washer to get the oil film/blow-by cleaned. It really wasn't bad but since everything is torn apart, it is the perfect time to do it.
I should start reassembling everything Wednesday!

Yeah, like Dave said I live close. I didn't have to worry about shipping. Matt is super particular about his work. The casting on the bottom of the valve covers is pretty bad and although he knew it wouldn't show, he spent extra time sanding down the bad spots so it would look even better. I would imagine it wouldn't be a problem to ship it to him.

Still up in the air right now. I have been asking around and most people just recommend who they used. If there was somebody local I would probably use them. Unfortunately, I am going to have to travel. Any suggestions?

Both Tim and mine will be going here... We've seen a couple cobra's that Pete has tuned and have spoken to him a couple times with what we are doing to the cars...

There are a lot of good tuners out there, guess it all depends how far you want to go. Sadly for us nobody is close. I have never tuned a 03/04 but everyone that has says they are pretty easy compared to other cars...

I checked out there site before, looks like a good place and I have not read anything negative.

I had a chance today to get a little more accomplished. I did the egr delete which cleaned up the engine bay nice. In the process though I had to remove the midpipe. Since I was that far, I took the catback off and wiped it down quick. I polished it a couple of years ago. This was a comparison I took while doing it.

It still looks pretty good although I may have a few drinks one night and try to get them to look like a couple of mirrors.

Now that everything else is clean I need to wipe down my shaft!! DRIVE SHAFT that is!!

Looking GOOD!!! ....I would also consider Pete at Performance Dyno!! ...I also had excellent results at MM!!

What did you use on the pipes?

I used a 150 grit flapper wheel to take out the bad spots from the mandrel bender. I then wet sanded 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, and 2,000 grits. Finally, I used some mothers polish with a cotton buffing wheel on my drill. I had roughly 5 hours of sanding in each pipe (along with sore hands and shoulders). lol

If your up for travel I would check out alternative auto in michigan its a trip but by far the best tuning around..

I would stay away from mustang magic they have had alot of issues lately imho

Oops. I didn't see this before. My fuel setup is nothing too serious right now. 60# injectors and a BAP. Although it looks incredible, I can't see spending the $$ on fore fuel rails and a return setup until I really need to.
