That's what Ive been running into for the last few weeks. Some say it will, some say it won't. 1 lady on ModdedMustangs even said that after having her EGR turned off in the tune she couldn't get rid of the P1000 "system not ready" code. She wound up reinstalling the EGR. I won't have the option to reinstall the EGR. The turbo headers don't have an EGR bung to hook to.
I'm not worried about the visual part of the inspection, just the damn DMV plug in test.
I've also seen EGR simulators that work just like the MIL eliminators for the O2's. It sends the correct voltage to the ECU to tell it the EGR is working fine. Unfortunately it seems they are for the '95 and below models. Apparently Ford changed the why the ECU regulates the EGR on '96 and up models.
Keeps the thoughts coming tho. My well of knowledge is running dry trying to figure this part of my project out.
