Welcome. I do not have experience with that year. But I believe the switch is attached to the pedal somehow. Does the pedal fade as you hold it? If so, then made just a minor adjustment is needed. LEDs shouldn't draw too much power, so if they light up they shouldn't have a problem staying lit...- mabcim
