Make sure the cable quadrant isn't causing the cable to fray. Is the cable popping at the cable end or somewhere else?

You probably could call Comp or Crane or Bullet cams tech support. They"ll ask you a slew of questions but at the end you'll have a cam damn close to perfect for your unique set up.
