Can somebody please explain to me what happened to the "car guys"? I don't even mean just mustang owners, I'm talking about every car enthusiast. I remember going out on a Friday night (or weekends, or any night for that matter) and there was a 95% chance you would run into some car that has been modded. Whether it was old school american muscle, current muscle, or even ricers. It didn't matter where you went you would always run into someone who had something done (whether it was tasteful or not is up for debate, but that is irrelevant).
Chances are after running into one of these types of cars you generally would cruise with them for a bit, maybe play around (illegally street race if that's your thing) but no matter what it was, it was all in good fun and everyone was a good sport.
Now when I go out, there seems to be maybe a 10% chance of even running into a STOCK muscle car. I rarely see any type of sports car, or even a honda with one of those fart cans (maybe that is a good thing). When I go out for a cruise on the same roads I have been for that past ten years there is nothing around! I am the only car with an exhaust, or any type of modification. I see NOTHING.
It all seems a little odd to me seeing as with facebook and instagram all you see if pictures of people and their cars. Well where are these cars? Are they nonexistent? I know I don't drive mine as often as I once did, but I still get it out and regardless of what I'm driving there still isn't much to look at out there on the roads.
Going back to the facebook and instagram thing, the majority of the cars are imports with some TERRIBLE alignment issues and over sized wheels. I have no idea who thought they may be a good idea, its awful. That being said, I would even appreciate seeing something like that out there. At least there is someone who modded their car the way the want and its out and about.
Please tell me what the hell happened over the past few years. Gas prices are down. Lets cruise!
Why the hell am I waking up to flurries yet again this morning??? I just want the street sweepers to get out and clean up the roads so I can FINALLY enjoy driving the cobra. Sometimes it just doesn't make sense to live in an area where you only get 3 months of enjoyable weather...and out of that 3 months, you're lucky if you have a few days where you'll actually have free time.
This is the saddest time of year, I packed the cobra up for winter. Now its time to daily drive the 328, not at all a mustang...but still a fun car to drive
