Vortech question

I'm probably going to make a power adder tech section but I was wondering if anybody knows the mechanical difference between the Vortech V2 S-Trim and V2 SQ-Trim? I know the SQ trim is the quite one, but is there any difference between the 2??

The SQ is snot that quiet..mine whistles pretty good. I think the differenc is the cut of the blades to quiet it down.

S-Trim and SQ have a different internal step up ratio (gearing) so it's not just the cut of the gears. The S-Trim has straight cut gears and a 3.45:1 step up ratio and the SQ-Trim has helical gears with a 3.61 step up ratio.

So the SQ-Trim with the same pulley will build boost faster and slightly more...

Many differences that come between the blowers are the blades, internal belt or gears, max blower RPM, self contained or oil pan required. you have between like 7" to 9" blower size. hope this helps.
