This sounds like an identical story a fews years back with Unique Performance. 3 guys started a company making Eleanor clones. They were on TV shows, Speed Channel, etc.. MLB star Jason Giambi bought a Super Snake from them. After that they topped producing cars and kept taking peoples money.
