After launching their 2014 Mustang lineup last month, Roush Performance today revealed more details and pricing about the new Aluminator engine option for the Stage 3 Mustang. A collaboration with Ford Racing, the Aluminator engine option features upgraded internal components that replace the stock cast units, improving durability for those owners running high levels of boost and horsepower. Upgraded materials include 11.0:1 compression ratio Mahle forged aluminum pistons that are hard anodized with Graphal low friction coating, premium Manley H-beam forged steel connecting rods with ARP 2000 bolts, BOSS 302 high performance connecting rod bearings, and Boss 302 valve springs. Also included is a large rear sump 8 quart oil pan with optimized oil drainback and windage tray.
“The Aluminator engine is designed and engineered to hold up to the added power of forced induction. It is a perfect optional upgrade for the Roush Mustang” says George Goddu, Ford Racing Business Manager.
Pricing for the Aluminator engine option for the 2014 Roush Stage 3 Mustang is listed at $8,250.00.
