In 2008 NASCAR legend Richard Petty launched ‘Petty’s Garage’, a high performance speed shop that creates custom cars including a selection of Signature Series vehicles based on the Dodge Challenger. Petty has recently turned his attention to Ford, and is planning to offer a custom 2012 Mustang that will debut at the BASF booth at the SEMA show in Las Vegas next month.
We don’t have many details on the Petty Signature Series quite yet, but we do know it will feature a custom body kit, BASF paint and a Whipple supercharger under the hood good for 650 horsepower. Based on the package offered for the Challenger, we’re guessing the Mustang will also get an upgraded suspension system, bigger brakes and custom interior appointments.
