Locally ,we appear to have entered that time of the season when the highway dept.s run low on road sand and start to mix what I call "pea gravel" into the sand / salt stock that remains . Anyone who lives in this area is fully acquainted with that pinging sound of the gravel bouncing off of your hood and the sickening crack of the occasional windshield hit. ( Usually caused by gravel tossed up by vehicles passing in the opposite direction ). I'm lucky to be able to park my Mustang in the garage for the winter, but watching a guy driving his through Delhi this morning just about made me ill !!!
I also cherish my Stang and keep her in the garage and covered, so I have to walk to work its a 20 min walk But living in Springville and N.Y. all my life I dress for the weather. I also seen a 2014 Black GT in town and they were cold patchin Rt 39
I see 8 - 10 mustang a day covered in salt and grit from the roads in western NY. I shake my head that people would do that to their investment. (that includes all the Camaro's, challengers, 'vettes, and Porches's) But, then I think, If I could get my Mustinger out of th garage, and up and down my driveway, I would be out there too. I'm just that Crazy.
I've had the luxury of seeing a bunch of Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers for the last month and it drives me nuts. The icing on the cake was last week coming back from work to end up right behind a ZL-1... a $125,000 car..:smash:
Maybe its just me, but in the northeast, you should have a winter beater... Like in my case, picked up a 05' 500 AWD real cheap and wrapped up the stang.
