Every August thousands of muscle cars and hot rods gather in Detroit for the annual Woodward Dream Cruise, and the Ford Mustang plays a huge role in the event with its own area known as Mustang Alley. Hundreds of Mustang owners converge on the Motor City for the event, making for one of the largest gathering* of pony cars on the planet. This year looks to be one of the largest yet, with more than 700 Mustangs expected to attend.
Ford play a very active role in Mustang Alley, part of which is taking the opportunity to raise money for various charities. Last year thousands of dollars were raised for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Operation Good Cheer and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, but this year they are taking it a step further and donating a custom 2013 Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca to the NMSS that will be raffled off to one lucky winner. The car will feature Sterling Gray Metallic exterior paint (not a standard Boss 302 Laguna seca color) with gloss black striping and accents, unique 19-inch wheels and a coupon for the TracKey from Ford Racing.
