Hello and welcome,
It's always nice to see another early car join the site. Vintage Burgundy,That's a nice color. A little bit of lead additive in the gas couldn't hurt,If you use additive you shouldn't have to worry about the heads, ever.Don't tell anybody this but I have a 66 coupe with a 289 that I've been running for 20 plus years with no additive(I put about 60-70k miles on it) and the heads still look good,no valve recession. I've got a Herd of early stangs(mainly 65-66's ,coupes convertibles, fastbacks) and I've been messing with them for a bunch of years now,so if you need any help, advice, or just want to B.S. About Mustangs feel free to post in the classic section.
