Hey. Hoping someone is good at diagnosing driveline noises.
Before I shortened the rear and replaced the differential, I was getting some whining noise from the rear under load. I assumed it was the old differential.
Now that I have everything back in, it still makes the sound and is even louder.
When you let off a little it goes quiet. When you decelerate you can hear it a little. You can hear it at any speed under load - it just gets lower or higher pitch. Its deafening at times.
I checked the transmission and pinion angles and its pretty much where it needs to be. Trans was 5deg down and pinion was 5deg up. I shimmed the trans and now its 3deg down up and changed pinion to 1.5deg up -- no change in the noise.

Video shows noise happening when I accelerate and quiet when i coast.
