means nothing now but actually handguns do not have to be sold through an FFL in NY. The buyer needs to posses a Pistol permit and a written recipt from the legit seller and head to the county clerks office. very simple, i just went through it

Thats fine bro i was just saying that it isnt actually needed. i wouldnt either, i just happen to sell to a friend last week so i didnt deal with an ffl anyone else i would. I wish i would have seen this post earlier, im in the market for a new rifle...
