Ford Motor Company announced recently at the third annual Ford Racing Invitational at Milan Dragway they will offer a new-body-in-white based off the 2010 Mustang. The body-in-white program has been around for several years to provide race car builders the opportunity to get a bare shell vehicle instead of tearing apart a new one to save them time and money. Ford will begin taking orders for the bare shells in July all the way through the Fall. All bare shell Mustang body's will be built at the same time and delivered in December to avoid carrying excess inventory.
Ford will also offer racers the opportunity to order specific interior trim kits and wiring kits to meet whatever needs the racers might have for certain racing classes. This program will run for several years with the same ordering schedule each year.
