The Ford Mustang has increased its sales numbers every month this year, posting a fifth straight gain in the month of June. Dealers sold 9,243 Mustangs last month, topping the year’s previous high of 8,797 in May. The numbers aren’t all positive, though, as sales are still lagging behind 2012. June sales for 2013 were down 9.9 percent compared to the same month last year when 10,263 units were sold. Overall sales for 2013 are down 11.3 percent, 43,111 compared to 48,624 for 2012. Don’t expect things to get better either, as Ford slows down production and buyers will begin to wait for the 2015 Mustang.
Ford Motor Company sales continue to remain strong, as the company had its best June since 2006 and overall sales were up thirteen percent compared to last year. The Escape had its best sales month ever, and the F-Series tallied its 23rd straight sales month increase.
