
Ford Mustang sales took a surprising upturn in October, with customers buying up 6,918 units from dealerships’ lots. That number is an incredible 29.8 percent increase compared to October of last year when 5,428 units were sold, and it’s the first time 2013 monthly sales figures have outpaced 2012. Overall Ford Mustang sales for 2013 are still down 8.4 percent versus this same time last year, 66,083 compared to 72,149.
Ford Motor Company sales as a whole remain excellent, with the company posting 15 percent gain in retail sales. Ford had its best October retail sales since 2004. The Fusion had the most improved performance, up 71 percent, and the Fiesta fared well with a nine percent increase. Both set new records for October.
