Few questions

Can someone please tell me the stock diameter of the crank pulley. I can't tell in the car has UDP's or not. The accessories do seem to be spinning a little slow, but I have nothing to go by.

I am concerned about the alternator, I hooked up my meter and it's putting out 13.6 at 1800rpm. I was considering changing the regulator, but at $70,I will pass.


Next on the list:

How can I tell what tranny is in the car. The guy said he put in a Cobra tranny but I don't know out of what?

And lastly:

I checked the rear end by using the mark and spin method. What I got was 3 full rotations, and halfway between 1/2 and 3/4 rotation. I am trying to get the correct speedo gear, but need to know what rear. What do you think? I am guessing at 3.73's.

1.well an easy way to tell is that most UDP's are polished /clear or anadiozed (blue/red/black)... If they are flat black and look like the PS pulley then they are stock.

2.you need a new alternator

3.WTF is a cobra tranny? do you mean t5 or world class? Find Transmission Tag

and insert Transmission Tag # into Identifier at bottom of page....http://www.5speeds.com/t5/

Cobra tranny meaning he said it came out of a cobra.

Ok, I am going to get the one wire internal regulator alternator.

I will try that method of gear checking. That's the same way I did it but with 9 more revolutions of the tire, all that does is move the decimal point. But it's worth a try.

If I had to guess...... A "cobra" tranny would be a "world class t5", but why wouldn't he just say "I swaped out the stock t5 for a world class unit"? You get bone heads that have no clue what they are talking about....

I think you just have a stock t5 if you asked me.

Probably right there. I never got to talk to the owner, I spoke with a third party. I tried to contact the shop that did all the work to the car, but they are no longer.
