I'm thinking about getting a 02 v6 and swapping my v8 in it. I've done v8 gt to v8 cobra swaps before but I am wondering specifically about the wiring harness of the 02 v6. I have an 02 v8 engine that I got out of a wrecked GT. I have the engine harness with it, the power boost for the brakes, clutch/brake pedals, the 5 speed manual with the motor with the trans mount, the exhaust, a few other things I'm forgetting. the only thing I don't have is a rear end which i mistakenly sold and I can get a k-member complete with the spindles for like $200 bucks off a guy. So I think I have most of everything I need my question is when I bolt the motor up and plug in the bulk head of the engine harness (on the v8) into the v6 body bulk head back there in the corner of the engine bay in front of the firewall under the hood, will that be compatible to run provided I swap in the GT computer and use the keys that go with it? No offense but I'm not asking if it's financially beneficial. I just specifically want to know if the wiring harness that is on the v6, is compatible to run with a v8 engine harness attached to it and a GT computer on the other end. I'm only worried about the harness from the bulk head to the pcm. Thanks a lot.
