Did my first 8.8 gear install

I visited O6Mach1 member today to see his new shop, When I got there I noticed he was in progress of installing a set of 4.10s.
Between Him and his son and me (Not realling doing anything except double checking measurements)...Before I had left he was going to store for gear oil and aditive, But I gotta say going thru the install and working with shims to get correct backlash and correct pattern , It was a great time....He says it turned out great and no noise...Now Im thinking of pulling my new 3.55s and installing some 3.73.. I didnt like the 4.10s with my auto..

Nice, that is the one job I didn't even think about doing when I did the stuff to my car. I even jumped into the transmission and installed my shift kit, but didn't do the gears. lol

I did install the Power Trax locker though afterwards.

What was nice is that 06Mach1 has arbor press and bearing puller and all the indicators and depth mikes we needed..


Oh did I mention hes got a lift..LOL

lol...lifts make everything better!

I was spoiled with my dad having his own garage and having all the access I wanted for 14 years, now it's back to street mechanics for me. :nono:
