Almost all Australian’s would be familiar with the name David Koch. He’s a morning program presenter on one of the major networks. It was a few years ago I got word he was having a custom 1967 Fastback built for him and then I forgot all about it. Until now.
Last week I stumbled across the company that put this restomod together along with their pictures and videos of the build and reveal. Now ordinarily I wouldn’t post about a restomod like this but it is quite interesting given David Koch’s involvement as you would not pick him to be a Mustang enthusiast.
Now some Mustang fans may cringe that Kochie opted to install a Chevy LS2 engine, an automatic transmission and power rack & pinon steering. The idea was to build a daily driver for the TV host with all the mod cons including air con, front and rear cameras and digital dash.
The car isn’t for everyone but you must admit it does look quite good. If only he had that 18 rivet LeCarra steering wheel.
