Valve is bent and started kissing the piston...
My question is how bad is this?
Does this affect the motor working running with a piston like this?
How important is a new piston?
What is the likely hood the crank/bottom end is affected if I leave this piston, or even if I replace?
Also, I was able to slide the connecting rods on the crank, back/forth on the crank about 1/8". And I mean all connecting rods to the crank, is this normal?
They are tight up and down, but not back and forth.
I haven't thoroughly done a rebuild, but I expect new heads, and lifters, pushrods, possibly cam, and possible piston? Going to be a new process measuring pushrods...
