68 seat adjustment

Anyone have an idea on how to move the seat back further than the seat track allows on my 68? Im 6' 2" tall. Are there extenders or modifications I can make? Thanks

Hi,
There are alot of options to solve this.One of the more popular ones is people will take out ,shorten and move the seat box back and reweld it.

I also happened to stumble onto this solution on another Mustang site I frequent. This looks like it would be perfect to try first,no cutting,welding,etc. Good luck.

+1 on the seat box relocation. I did this on my 68 fastback when we were replacing the floor pans. Moved it back 1 inch, doesn't seem like a lot but it made a big difference

6 months ago I picked up on ebay a 68 highland green original color (not original paint) 3 speed 302. I looked for about 5 years to find an original stick with original highland green paint. Yes Im a bullittt head. I sold the 3 speed 302 on craigs list and now I am having a 68 390 built and found a 4 speed top loader that is being rebuilt as well. The car is in the shop right now with new floor pans and the entire engine compartment being replaced as well. That was an expense i did not count on or see on the ebay pictures. Oh well, be careful guys.....but I wanted the car anyway. And whats your story Ponyboy?
