Over on TheFordStory.com anybody who owns a Ford vehicle can share their personal story with the world. Once such individual is 81-year old inventor Dick Fuchs who owns a 1971 Ford Mustang with 619,000 plus miles on the clock. Mr. Fuchs purchased the Mustang new in 1971 complete with a 351 cubic-inch Cleveland V-8 for an astonishing $3,310 and has owned the vehicle ever since logging ever mile, oil change, fill-up and repair cost associated with the vehicle. Over the years he has documented everything from trips he went on to engine rebuilds along with changing the rear-axle ratio from 3.25 to 2.75 which he says increased mileage by 12%. All the records are kept nice and neat in two 2-inch thick binders which he says has every last detail about the car. The Mustang is not restored by any means but a true original which he says is good for another 300K - 400K miles. Check out the video below to see his story.
