Okay! So finally got the PS door together after a bunch of dicking around. The latch cut was too small, the stud holes for the interior door handle completely missing... so just a pain in the ass and i'm too lazy to send shit back. So some griding, drilling and filing... boom! Finally finished...

Hey, Mike. Yeah the quarters were actually in real good condition. That made me happy. And the roof too was pretty much dent free. :D I couldn't imagine having to deal with the roof, too!!

omg that was painful getting the pics to upload... anyway... windshield and rear glass removed and she's pressure washed. rust on the rear pillar that will get patched. there is also some patching that will get done on above and below the LS door hinges. L and R quarter panels after...

lol bought a bit of sheet metal for the car! ;) I don't have a plan for the 302. i don't have a vehicle or want a vehicle to put it in. trying to talk a friend into buying it so he can drop it in his dad's 67 mustang. and yep, the big block will fit and be reinforced so it doesn't fly out...

i went shopping.... hehehe And she's back down to a different shop for paint. this guy has been much better to deal with than the first shop. I think I have all the sheet metal (save for the trunk) needed either down to him already or ordered it today. Replacing the fenders, doors & trunk...

it'll be a tight fit and reinforcements put in. ;) believe me it was a worry at first but did some research and things should be okay.

it'll go in after.

pulled the engine and transmission out, down to bones thursday evening. dropped her off at the shop to start the body work and paint. :nervous:

rest of the dash out, gotta fix the ebrake, door panels off. wing and mustang letters off tail lights, gas door, tail pipes, side lights, bumper, rear valence off. gas tank out, extraneous wiring removed.

Things look pretty solid so far on the inside. That's kind of reassuring that the body and paint work won't be so daunting. Gonna go with candy apple red after much debate. :)

I got some more of the interior removed last Monday. The floor pans are looking okay and the passenger side actually looks like it hasnt' been touched. No weld marks like it's been redone and it actually all seems pretty solid save for the bit of rust on top.
