It has to be programmed to a cars PCM in order to tune it. Unlocked is only so that you can have that tuner reprogrammed for use on a different car.

That won't work. Tuners have to be programmed to your PCM. If its not tuned to your car it'll mess yours up.

Actually you can remove them to do it as well. They don't have to be on the car. There's a simple roller and a full kit. So leaving them on the car isn't always necessary.

Try mpsautosalavage online. Any fenders will work as its only for practice. Then if you get good at it, you can charge a small fee and do it for others.
