To be quite honest with you if your on a budget and you already have the heads and upper intake stuff, get the short block from latemoderestoration.com for $700 and slap your stuff on it and rock it out for the summer. You can beat the piss out of it for the $. Then you dont have to worry about...

Ok so then it inst the cable then. Maybe the linkage on the shifter stb. Do you have stock shifter set up on the t5?

Sounds like your cable adjuster may have slipped the cable and you lost tension to disengage the clutch when you push in the pedal. Simple fix! I would have to see it but it sounds like your prob. GL

If you put the motor in twice and didnt use the clutch allignment peg to allign the clutch disk up you probably screwed your pressure plate and disk up. This is where your noise is coming from...

I have 373's with my T5 and i love it. Im sure 355's will be great with your auto. Wont be screaming the rps on the highway and it will still rip outta the hole. You didnt make a bad choice.

Sooot. That stinks. Keep on the pos side. You dont have fuel injection and all the yadda yadda stuff us FI guys have. It is a pain to keep tearin stuff apart but in the same time it cold be worse. Gonna go new cam and lifters this time around?
