Finally saved up enough money for heads. Got a set of procomps, 1.6 roller rockers and girdle kit. Pictures to come hopefully. Otherwise slow progress. Allergies are killing me.

Mileage all around has suffered about 2 mpgs. I used to be able to hit 25 on the highway. But now its more like 23 max. My stoxk tach is a little messed up. But 65 im gonna guess im about 2100 rpm.

I got lucky when i did my gears. I started at 3.08's. I had the car down to a 14.4 in the quarter. I picked up a whole rear axle with Ford Racing 3.73's installed. I had someone help me repack the trac lock and put it in. I can rip the car right sideways like nothing with the 3.73's. Mine is...

Thanks for the find on the o rings. I also need the little plastic pieces that go over the nozzles too. Shipped the gt40's to their new owner. In the process of saving up for the comps.

Made a little more progress. Heads are now off, and pending sale. Going to get a set of ProComp Aluminum 210cc heads. Cylinder walls look good, no ridge anywhere. There seems to be a lot of carbon buildup though. Will clean the pistons off next. Will get some pictures of where its at this weekend.

Up for sale is a COMPLETE set of 351w GT-40 heads. These heads came off of a 1994 351w Ford Lighting. They have approximately 120k miles and have some carbon build up on them. So a valve job would be a smart thing to do while off. These came off a running engine. Selling to get a different set...

Wish this was a few weeks down the road. Possibly need a hood after my 351 swap. Stock hood might be too low. And im in fabius.

Subtle mods...

Had a friend come over and blast the intake and timing cover to get all the grease and grit off. Looks much better, minus the crappy cell phone pic. Got all new brass plugs for the water ports, gonna look ducky.

Well havent made much progress. Hopefully next week will be better. I found out i have the orange 19lb injectors. Are there o-ring kits and plastic tip kits out there? Im going to replace them with 24lb blues, and dont want to reuse the old seals. Got the timing gasket set and reman water pump.

I got an awesome deal on a B&M Ripper, paid under 100 bucks for it new. Major improvement over stock. Ive been trading between the stock shifter knob and a hurst t handle. I like the T but man its either freezing cold or sweltering hot!

Went to Advance auto in Chittenango, got a new water pump, timing gasket set, upper and lower intake gasket set and lastly a 3/8 welch plug. I forgot about sealing the old dipstick hole. Oil pan is on and i dont want to tear it off. So tap and thread is now out. Waiting for the plug to come in...
