    Maf question

Pro M make really good mafs, I've got one on mine right now. I would probably go with the 80mm Pro M, at least with that you should be able to fire up the car and put it on a trailer and get it tuned. The SCT maf will need some maps loaded on to get the car started. Not sure if you can run the...

A9L bbk mass air meter or x3z with cobra mass air meter?

Imo I wouldn't swap to the different maf and computer. Is there a reason for this? The stock cobra stuff runs the 24lb injectors. If I remember right the cobra maf is a 70mm unit. The 76mm maf sounds like a C&L maf and I would definitely take a cobra maf over that one. There have been many...

    Mike's 302 to 351W Swap.

I put a Ram HDX in mine last summer, I like it, feels close to stock. It's good to 400 rwhp, any clutch that you get I would recommend getting an adjustable clutch cable kit also. I went with the kit from MM and imo it's the best kit out there. All there is to adjust is the firewall adjuster...

    Mike's 302 to 351W Swap.

If you ever plan on running any kind of boost I would go with the head studs. If you plan on leaving it n/a, you could probably get away with using the stock bolts.

    Mike's 302 to 351W Swap.

I would highly recommend getting ARP head studs. I can't remember what years came with the TTY bolts.

Very sorry to hear that Dave. Are the identity fraud people searching for who did this and working to get your money back? Hopefully they find that bastard.

Rear control arms? If so, definitely switch to some better ones to get rid of the wheel hop and add some more traction. Maximum Motorsports makes great rear lower control arms.

The rotating assembly will hold up to more power than the block can withstand. It would be best to figure out what budget you have and go from there.

If you want to get the most hp you can get, you had better invest in a dart short block or you will find yourself with a split block. The stock blocks can last for a little while around 450 to 500 rwhp, but it's borrowed time for the most part. A lot depends on the tune, but block just isn't...

For a fox, I would do a hci and put a Vortech on it. That is probably the simplest and "cheapest" way to make as much power you can before splitting the block in half.

    Rpm range and heads

I think it really has more to do with the rest of the combo to see the power range of the heads would be. If the intake and cam had a range from idle to 5500 then that would be a good estimate that's where they will be. What's the rest of your combo, and are you staying with a 302? It would be...

Not a big project...but i need some ideas..

Lol, if nothing else this thread is full of hilarity, I should expect nothing else when something involves you and Dave, Tom. :D Anyhow, I think some kind of black would be your best bet, whether it's satin or gloss. Satin would probably go with your front air dam.

    its finally coming together!!!!!

Sounds like a great start to the build! Team Z makes some good suspension parts. Are you keeping it efi? I always thought a mean 408 would be a great fit in a light notch.

    1989 mustang 5.0 gt40p head/ gt40 intake

I agree that a tune would be best, it shouldn't be too hard to find a tuner down there. But please don't go with any C&L meters, I have seen many bad stories about their mafs. Pro M make really good mafs, to get it reprogrammed for a different injector it costs 100 bucks.
