your partially right... clipping is when you are sending a "dirty" signal to the speakers them selfs.. that could be caused by a horrible song or you could have tuned an amp wrong.. ALSO make sure your ground is very clean and on bare metal (prefferably on the frame) or you will get a ground...

5x7's all around also know as 6x8's both are kindof a pain to find but sound well.. if you want you can make a mounting braket and get by 9's in there...
