i love the looks of a stagger setup, i think mine will be with the next set

They look great, but my concern is with tire rotation. I know also they have handling improvements but honestly I doubt I'll ever take the car to a track.

rotating your tires wont happen if you have offsets..
Baz
Baz
Hmm so since the AM wheels have a 30mm+ offest, I can't rotate the tires in that case?
HartleRacing
HartleRacing
you can rotate them, although i wouldnt recommend it.. with the wider ones on the front it will handle like garbage, and look just the same IMO.. breaking the tires off the rims and rotate them side to side is about the only option with offsets
Baz
Baz
Are you meaning offsets as in staggered? Just little confused now since I thought offset is a wheel dimension.
HartleRacing
HartleRacing
yes i mean staggered rims when i say offsets.unless the stagger comes from the actual stance of the car itself and not the rims then you can interchange them. but if the front rims have a different offset than the rears then you can not rotate them.. hope this clarifies a bit

Well since I just drive around on weekends I guess better off going with non staggered like 18x9 all around. I'm sure car would look slightly better with staggered but I rather do without the rotating issues.

Stagger.

+1 on the Stagger. Since its only weekends you wont be putting as many miles as a daily so tires should last. Looks better and more aggressive too..
Baz
Baz
Well how bad is the tire life? I still have my stock wheels and tires and just crossed 33,000

Also I got the car brand new in 2007.

Go staggered. 9 in front and 10 or 10 1/2's out back. The tires will last you a decent 20,000 miles unless you buy DR's.

I'm pretty much looking at 18x9/10 with Sumitomos, basically one of the AM.com bundles. But if you say 20,000 miles that isn't too bad, might last me a good 7 years.
