well it ran in to a swamp, so its not laying out for public to find but .. realistically they have to pin the kill on a specific hunter... how exactly would you propose they do that? but yes there is fines for poaching if you get caught

Nowadays they can look at what kind of ammo it is and what gun was used which can be tracked back to your gun

I shot it with the bow, where my land is no one would be just out there walking around, my neighbors know about this and are also looking around for me, they are really nice people and we have helped find deer for them before
