IMO it doesn't matter if you mix and match. I have had MAC long tubes and American Racing Headers on my car and will never consider any other brand again besides American Racing Headers. I have a Flowmaster cat-back that compliments the headers well.

I like the idea of mixing & matching but, companies like Borla, Bassani, etc. are top of the line IMO and I would prefer the "complete set" when it comes to these companies.

BTW I have FRPP Headers, UPR offroad X-pipe with Flomasters in the back. Killer Sound!

The down side to mixin & matchin is the fitment isnt always the best whenu put diff manufactures pipes together. The upside is u get to get the sound/performance you desire.
