With all the supercharged cars I've had and friends turboed and SC'ed 15W50 Mobil 1. I cooked the headgasket on my SC'ed 93 GT and got stuck nursing it home. It melted the powdercoat on the valve covers among other things it was so hot, pegging the temp gauge. After letting it cool down and expecting the worst, but took it apart and it was fine.
I used to always like Valvoline 10W40 in my higher mile 5.0's. I had an oil pump seize on me in an 89 LX 5.0 at around 130k and it when I took the motor apart it was spotless. Tossed a new pump/pan/etc on it and the car still ran great with around 190k last I had known.
My cousin has 175k on his 89 GT that has a SC on it, 15W50 in that as well. Anything else and it will use up oil. That car has been through hell too.
