Sorry I haven't been on in a few days, I have been super busy since Thursday. I worked on the car after work until about 11 on Thursday and Friday and got it running that night but I messed up stabbing the dizzy in because I was a little confused on the correct way to do it. But when I was gone to the NYS fair for the Rock Star Energy Drink Uproar Tour, my dad and his friend put the dizzy back to where it should've been. It was a great show btw, and today tied up a few loose ends and put the hood on it. Here is a few pics...
The cold air intake I bought didn't fit for shit on the car so I had to use what I had on before. The car wouldn't idle or run right with the hood on, the maf didn't like the air being blocked off I guess. So, I took the airbox off and left the filter where it was since the fenderwell cai wouldn't fit right. It drives pretty good now like that. Still adjusting a few things here and there, the new clutch is either on or off, no play so that is taking a little getting used to. The idle is set to about 850 because it takes a while for it to idle right at 750 and usually stalls. I took a vid, but it's not very good, I will get a better one up next week.
It's going to be tough to take it easy for 500 miles but I should be able to do it. There is a definite increase in power, the car shakes a bit at idle, lol. The exhaust got quite a bit louder too, didn't think that a hci would make it that much louder but it did. I will be surprised if I don't get a loud exhaust ticket this year. I will report back in with a video and a update of how well its running after the clutch break in period. I will most likely get a tune next year just to clean things up a little bit. And thanks again to dad for helping me out with this, I made him stay up way past his bedtime on Friday.
