Primer mike from buffalo area

Hi i'am from wny and i go to dunn tire raceway and new york international. i have an 1989 lx 5.0 and if you didn't guess the car is in primer it has a fastest time at dunntire of an 8.58@84.04 and at nyirp a 13.21@106.78 i am in need of slickes because my 60ft time of 2.143 is not that good.I have two sons 11 years and 15 month and im a local auto tech. Things done to my car stock lower end out of 92 5.0 with gt40 heads e303 cam 1500-1800 stall 373 gears from an explorer and street tires. I have had my car for 5 years now and i improve it every year it ran 10.2 when i got it.I have planed to paint it but now i am kown as primer mike so it will stay that way. When u ask me what color i'm going to paint it my responce will be it is painted. color don't make it go faster:smash: Pic to come but not much to look at just look for it at the track because i will not street race so see you at the track. see you at my local tracks :rock:

Welcome Primer Mike. Glad to have you here. You say your car is not much to look at but It's a Mustang and that's all that matters and glad to hear you only race it at the track. :awesomework:

Welcome to our little slice of heaven Mike.

I reme,ber growing up with all the fast cars, and I think the only non-primer, or hell, one color cars were the new cars that daddy just bought them. I love the old school flat black or primer color.

I just read an old issue of fast fords and they had an s197 that was primered and they liked it so much that they just cleared right over it.
