Want a brand new supercharged Cobra Jet in your Mustang’s engine bay? Now you can thanks to Ford Racing, who now have the 2014 Cobra Jet’s powerplant available as a crate engine in their parts catalog. The V8, part #M-6007-SCJ14, comes fully built with race-coated Mahle forged pistons, Manley H-beam connecting rods, race-balanced forged crankshaft, ported Boss cylinder heads and more.
The Cobra Jet doesn’t come cheap, though, retailing for a pricey $28,600. Need something a bit cheaper? You can always go for Ford Racing’s Aluminator XS crate engine that uses many of the same parts and is $12,000 cheaper.
