I need some help I was having problems with my battery light going and and off and a surge happening during that time with the rpm I brought the car to my ex to fix he looked around and although the alternator was changed a few weeks ago (a rebuilt alternator) after checking everything else we decided to replace it again. It seemed to have work the car was driving fine no battery light on etc a hhr hour later in the middle of driving the car just died. The lights are on etc. It's cranks and there are dashes where the milage should be. We think there is no power getting to the pcm only we don't know why. We can't get the car started we changed a few relays and it still won't start anybody have any ideas?Could it be related to the fact that we changed the alternator earlier in the day? I really need my car fixed and I'm not a mechanic. I'm new to this site so not sure if it gives my info. I have a 2002 mustang V6
At first we thought it was the PATS but I was told if it's was an anti theft issue it would not have died in the middle of driving. My ex tried to do a diagnostic but it was no power was going to the computer as I mentioned we just can't figure out why. I really need a working car and could use some help
