God I am huge pessimist trust me but I am so torn. I hear you guys about the rain but I want to believe it wont be a washout. The hourly forecasts show that by mid morning Friday it gets spotty with just isolated storms. But I know what that means, it could be sunny and fine or raining all day in between. Not sure what to do, I dont mind it raining once I am there and parked but driving in it sucks ass...
"By tomorrow morning, the aforementioned storm to our west should arrive in the Ohio and Tennessee River Valleys. As a result, rain is forecast to develop very late tonight or early tomorrow morning…just in time for the morning commute. Indications are that rain will fall much, if not all, of the day tomorrow and possibly heavy at times.
Thereafter, the weather becomes less certain.
By Friday morning, recent meteorological guidance suggests that the steady rain may be east of Central New York, or the rain associated with the storm moving in from the west. However, we then need to turn to the south and the tropical low over the Gulf of Mexico. Exactly how that behaves and moves will determine how much additional rain we receive after the first or initial period of rain Thursday.
As of now, keeping in mind this will likely change at least a little, indications are that after a possible morning lull or break in the rain, Central New York will see more rain developing sometime Friday afternoon. Rain is likely to continue into Friday night and Saturday. It should be noted that if the tropical low travels farther east, then Central New York will likely see less rain, however, a track farther west would me a greater chance for heavy rain later Friday into Saturday.
Some piece of good news is that we think everything should move steadily enough so that steady rain ends in time for Sunday with even some possible. While the steady rain may be over with Sunday, we’ll still need to keep the threat for scattered showers in the forecast. Looking ahead to early next week, long range data continues to point to yet another weather system bring more rain to the region Monday and Tuesday."
