Wish it was mine but its in my home town...Figured I would post the info in case any one was looking....

Its a 03 azure blue as I said, with 33,070 miles....
Looks flawless inside and out and Im about positive its 100% stock:headbang: Iv stopped and dreamed a couple times now in the past month....

in the dealer world, if a car has a bad carfax it has been hit, painted or something else like that regardless of the reason. We will not purchase or sell cars on our lot that have a bad carfax..

My personal truck was side swiped and insurance paid to have some of the truck painted... I paid out of pocket to have the whole truck done in addition to that and I am stuck with a bad carfax as well.... There isnt anything anyone can do about it.. It may look good from the outside but it could be all goobered up... I dont have the opportunity to put the car on a lift and inspect it at the auction so I choose to steer clear of something with a "bad" carfax..

I wouldnt have purchased my Cobra if its ever had any body work...

I hope this makes sense..

bad car fax or not, that car is gorgeous!

i wouldn't hesitate to consider a car like that as long as i go to look it over really good, like up on a lift and everything before purchase.

there are some good body men out there that can fix a car and you'd never know unless they told you, hopefully thats the case here

thanks Tim.. I wouldnt feel right purchasing a car that has had paint work for full retail, especially a car like this.. If it were a daily driver or a Honda Civic or something I wouldnt mind so much but on a car you plan to keep for a while its important to me..

I agree that is good to know Rob! Even If the car is fine its just the fact its happened, I think it should make for a lower price tag!

In my business I have to be extreme to be better than everyone else. I have a couple Ferrari's and a bunch of Porsches (including one that costs $275,000)

People that buy my cars are VERY particular and dont want anything with paint work.. They also want the car to be as origional as possible. Because of that I made it a rule of thumb to steer clear of anything thats had paint work or been hit.. It just makes things easier and I can go to sleep at night knowing I sell cars with integrity.. :awesomework:

so a car that has some paint work lacks integrity? you should keep in mind that the average owner's car around here probably has had some paint and a statement like that can be viewed as a put down, and as a car dealer that has potential to sell to people via this site, you could be costing yourself some business.

You are mis-reading what I am saying and hearing what you want to hear... A car with a bad carfax that has been involved in an accident which involves a $1000+ repair is simply not worth the same TO ME AS A DEALER as a car that is 100% original.. Your reading into this way to much. You can buy a salvage title car for full retail if you wish HOWEVER I conduct business at the highest level of integrity possible. I will NOT sell a car on my lot that has a bad carfax. Wouldnt you be mad if you purchased a $100,000 car to find out it was wrapped around a phone poll and "repaired" by some joe blow's back yard garage???

now your comparing apples to oranges.

a little paint work does not make a car unworthy of ownership, being totalled is a different story all together.

we both no it doesn't take much damage to get to $1000 dollars in repair, especially if the repair is made by a dealer or other highend body shop

your acting as if that car has no value now and your statement regarding "integrity" is insulting.

the OP was trying to show us a beautiful car and you just come on and bash it.

you need to keep an mind that not everyone can spend top dollar for a "perfect" car and that you are on a website full "joe blow" car enthusiasts that would be thrilled to own a car like that mach

^^ What you are forgetting is I have been a member here since the beginning. I am a joe blow car enthusiast and I have had mustangs since I could drive. My last car (I had for 12 years) and it won Mustang of the month. It had been broken into and painted.. It too had a bad carfax HOWEVER I am saying what I sell at my dealership.. I looked at this car and seriously wanted to buy it UNTIL I saw it was involved in an accident. I didnt bash it ever. I simply said the truth. I provided factual info for my friends so they dont pay full retail for a car thats been involved in an accident.

I know the OP (Todd) very well. I think your confused and dont know who I am......
