So I got another 5.0 but this time I got a roller one. It's a 86 motor out of a Grand Marquise and I already pulled off all of the EFI crap and put my intake and carb on for the time being. The motor has no accessories other then an old water pump, has 90k and low oil pressure. I'm thinking...

-Full 5.0 intake set up...upper/lower/TB/EGR, vacuum lines, fuel rail and lines, injectors, most of the injector harness, air inlet tubing throttle cable bracket -Upper intake manifold with 5.0 plaque -smog pump with lines and pulley -non roller cam -timing chain cover -heads with valve train...

Over the next few days I'm going to be doing some research and sticky this thread so any one looking to do the swap can get a good amount of information in one place and also so those lurkers out there that are afraid to ask questions can still get some answers. If anyone else has any good...

:( Took it all apart for some new bearings and rings and pistons... ....and found this... And the piston from that cylinder.... Moral of the story is I got swindled.:thumbsdown:

Talon TSi? I know I'll get killed from a dig, but it's 6 bolt swap with a full inter cooler and HKS BOV. All I'll(providing I can pick up the other engine) is a 302 with E7 heads, fresh rebuild Edlebrock Performer 289 intake, and a Holley 600 4bbl. What would it take to make me run with him?

Well I decided to flip it on the stand and pop the oil pan off, then I found 2 piece of metal and some sort of small pin that has some sort of gear on the shaft. I was looking around and simply can't fins where it is from, there are no obvious chunks missing from the block or any other place...

Well this is the Holly carb that came on top of my motor and I want to rebuild it but I don't know what one it is. I really have no idea what this motor is out of because I'm 90% sure it was made in '80, but I don't think it is the 4.2l they had then..... Sorry about the crappy cell phone...

WEll I bought a WC T5 and I'm going to rebuild it and obviously I'll need a new clutch. I was looking at OEM replacements as they are cheap and when all is said and done I won't be running much power for a while. Any opinion on this clutch kit? Also, what kind of power are OEM replacements...

Since I'm too cheap to spend 10 bucks on a new oil pressure sensor, IO just hooked up a Sunpro oil pressure gauge I had but now it won't start. Any chance there is a safety switch that shuts off the car from running/prevents it from starting if there is no oil pressure read by the computer?

I have 2 pairs of pre 87 Fox drip rails that someone can have, otherwise I'm bending them up and throwing them out!
