Yep. The bolt was slightly loose..so we took the little bolt out, cleaned up the area, and replaced the bolt with a new one...tightened it down and voila....full power and voltage steady and back to normal...I guess some people are right..sometimes its the dumbest things that cause so many...

Thanks for all the advice on the voltage problem. Turns out all this trouble I was having was over a loose ground bolt; the bolt holding the small ground wire from the negative battery terminal to the header panel.

That was the one thing I actually did do. The meter was reading 12 volts while the car was running, but it was 14 at the terminals. The positive battery cable looks pretty bad so Ill start cheap and then work my way over...

Could a severely corroded positive battery cable cause the same symptoms?
