Could be a bunch of issues. Is the KAM (keep alive memory) working? What that means is when you drive the car, some of the monitors set to "ready" and once you shut it off, the PCM loses it's memory and the monitors all reset to "not ready". Other issues stopping the monitors from running could...

Seats are easy to do. Take the old covers off and replace with new. Most of the cover is held by velcro. All you need is a few hog ring and the pliers.

Without more info its kinda hard to say what is wrong. As i deal with these issues for a living, most of the time you need to see IAT more than 100 degrees. I would have to see the vehicles data stream. If you were in the WNY area I could help. But I think you are not close!

intake air temp should not have to go under 100 degrees for monitors to run. What monitors are not ready?
