If it is your clutch don't buy Valeo or from stockwiseauto.com my clutch blew on April 15, and is still notified yet. Between wrong parts from Valeo, and communication issues with stockpile it all been a huge p.i.t.a.

I don't know what it is with the auto correct with my computer, but I don't like it. It spells things right the first time then changes it the second.

A little scary really, I was doing 55 and had to down shift for a speed zone, and poof the clutch pedal went to the floor.

Had it happen in two automatics too. Torque converter went bad both times.

I'm not sure if the automatic in yours is the same as in the 5-0. I would be surprised if it is. Ford's history with automatic transmissions is not a good one; lot's of failures and under-engineering.

Wake, tell me more about the torque converter...Randy the engineering has gone well thus far but this is just something strange that can't be seen by the diagnostic or human eye.

Understood. Ford's A/T gemerally fail between 45k and 70k. I have had plenty of experience with this. I had three different models of Fords where the A/T failed on each one.

When my torque converters went, I would loose all drive power under load, like going up hill at 60 mph. But it would be ok going down hill and on level easy driving. Sometimes it would slip on take off. Sometime it would be fine.

Ok heres my question: if a diagnostic test is done, will that certain issue be recognized?
